Veterinary clinic "The Quickborn"

"The Quickborn" is the only Dutch animal clinic at the Costa Blanca and is situated in Albir between Benidorm and Altea. The clinic is managed by Peter and Marieke de Lint. Peter has worked for 28 years in his clinic in the Quickbornavenue in Epe in the Netherlands. "the Quickborn" is a clone of this practice in Epe; therefore is has got this name.

Route description

"The Quickborn" is simple to find: coming from N332 you take at the Mc Donalds the main road to the sea (at the trafficcircle keep right). After 800 m. you pass at the right-hand side Tony's restaurant. Afterwards you take the first right (Eurim). After 200 m. you find the entrance to the clinic (coming to a dead end street).

Visiting hours

Monday untill Saturday: 9.00 - 13.00 (on appointment).
Monday untill Friday: 18.00 - 20.00

Tourist information: pay attention to subtropical diseases!

For tourists who are going to the Costa Blanca on holiday and want to bring their pets: there’s a warning. There are a number of diseases which do not occur in Northern Europe. The most important subtropical diseases which occur in this area are:

1. Leishmaniosis: transmitted by the sand fly
2. Ehrlichiosis: transmitted by ticks.
3. Heartworm: transmitted by mosquito’s
4. Babesiose: transmitted by ticks

These are diseases which only occur on dogs. Cats can become ill of leukaemia and aids. Consult your veterinarian before going on holiday.
